Hey, counselor colleagues!
When I first learned about cognitive behavioral theory, it just clicked with me. And then as I learned more and put the strategies into practice, I could see how my students connected with it (and grew from it!) as well.
But...I noticed that not many other school counselors were using it. They either thought it couldn't be used with school-age kids, or they just didn't feel confident enough.
